Form here follows technique, with the design of the Link takingits cue from methods used for shaping and bending, which offera strong three dimensionality. The "link" is a metal element joining the backrest's two wings, while the slot in the backrest gives the chair a light, airy feel. Inwooden models, the oblique grain, which has an almost graphicquality, recalls the veins of a leaf, reinforcing the chair's naturalappearance.
